I think it's pretty cool. My first instinct is to say that the angel needs a pose that might read a bit better, in terms of the silhouette. That way we can see what he's holding in his hand more clearly. The bright center of the vortex is a good opportunity to play with the contrast and get him into a cool action pose. Just my opinion, I like it. :)

Thank you for your feedback. The image is from a scene near the end of the book. He is holding a Shakujo (religious staff) in his hand, and it is producing the light.
